Update!!

If you follow on Twitter or Facebook, then you probably already know this, but I am planning to move the blog from blogger over to Tumblr.  I am expecting this to happen this weekend and I'll post a link when it does.  That being said, I will not be posting until the move is complete.  Twitter and Facebook are still up correctly though so go check those out if you haven't already.  I will leave you with a pic of Escape the Fate and a link to an AP interview with Craig Mabbitt and Robert Oritz about feelings on the bands direction, the exit of Max Green, the upcoming album and possible tours.

Throwback Thursday!

Okay, so according to many sources around the internet, there a quite a number of iconic songs turning a decade old this year (or last year, depending on the list you look at).  I decided I would start doing a Throwback Thursday featuring one of these songs a week.  As I was looking around for this, it looked like a few of these songs were on both lists (turning 10 in 2013 and 2014) so it is possible some of these were 10 last year.  Anyway, in honor of Kerrang! Magazine doing a tribute album to Green Day's album American Idiot (anybody in Georgia know where to get it besides the website? Disturbing lack of this magazine in GA), I thought it fitting we start with that.  So here it is!

Panic! At The Disco Fans!!

Anybody seen the piano version of This Is Gospel yet?? The song itself if amazing.  The way Brendon Urie sings it makes it hauntingly beautiful.  The video...well that's quite another story.  At the end, I was torn between being completely in awe of the song and having a wtf moment at what I had just watched.  On Twitter, Pete Wentz called it "This is grosspel."  You'll just have to see it for yourself!  Take a look!

Vans Warped Tour has released its list of stages and which bands will be on them.  Be prepared, this list is massive so there will be a number of posts!  The first set is below.

Additionally, if you are attending the Las Vegas date which is June 19, the show will now be held at UNLV Intramural Field.

Featured Band of the Week!

This week's Featured Band is Late Nite Reading!  Just discovered these guys on one of my journeys around YouTube and I must say, I really like them!  Check them out and see if you do too!

The band started in 2009 in Indiana and has been going strong every since.  They have released 3 EPs, the last of which turned a year old yesterday.  Hopefully we'll see more soon!  They are known for being a very "hands-on" band.  They love spending time with their fans.  I'm loving this band more and more.  Their members are: Dalton Wixom - Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar, Brady Szuhaj - Bass, Drew Cottrell - Drums and Clayton Collins - Lead Guitar.

New Featured Band of the Week!!!

This week's Featured Band is We Came as Romans! I was acually a little surprised I like this band as I don't typacally like the amount of "screaming" that is in their music, but I found I like them quite a lot.  I guess you can't judge all screaming the same huh?

We Came as Romans started as a high school band in 2005.  The original name of the band was The Emergency, but after some big line-up changes, the name was changed to We Came as Romans in the summer of 2006.

Their current members are:

-Kyle Pavone - clean vocals (2008–present), keyboards, synthesizer (2008-2011), unclean vocals (2011–present)
-David Stephens - rhythm guitar (2005-2006), unclean vocals (2008–present), clean vocals (2013–present)
-Joshua Moore - lead guitar (2005–present)
-Lou Cotton - rhythm guitar (2006–present)
-Eric Choi - drums (2006–present)
-Andy Glass - bass (2006–present)

They have released 2 EPs and 3 Full-Length albums.

Okay, last day for All Time Low!  We're moving on tomorrow even though I've missed a few days. Enjoy!

Featured Band!!

I'm getting better!!  Right after I told you guys I thought I was getting back on track, my cold (flu?) moved into my chest and I spent most of Sunday and Monday having difficulty breathing.  Still coughing, but at least I can breathe normally again so I'm gonna try, once again, to get back on track.  Next week I'm going to try to start 2 new "weekly" things.  On Wednesdays, I will be posting videos from the bands that have been anounced for Warped Tour 2014.  This will help you and me decide who we like and want to hear more from.  Also, on Thursdays, I will (hopefully) be posting videos of some songs that are turning 10 to 20 years old this year.  Might include some from last year because some songs are on both lists I'm looking at.  Could be the week after that those start, but they are coming.

All Time Low began in 2003 in Maryland and, from what I can tell, still has the same members it had when it started.  It's members are Alex Gaskarth on vocals and rhythem guitar, Jack Barakat on backing vocals and lead guitar, Zack Merrick on backing vocals and bass guitar, and Rian Dawson on drums.

Featured Band of the Week!!

This week's Featured Band is SayWeCanFly.  SayWeCanFly is really made up of only one person and that is 18-yr-old Braden Barrie from Canada. He has been connecting with the younger people in a way I haven't really seen happen before and, from what I can tell from interviews/videos, he's just a regular, down to earth teenager that loves making music more than anything.  He's even said that, even though he's used a full band for his music before, he prefers to just sit in front of people with just his guitar and sing.  And sing he does! Check him out and maybe you'll connect with him too!

This week's Featured Band is Snow White's Poison Bite!

Snow White's Poison Bite is a Finnish band that was formed back in 2006.  Their members are Allan "Jeremy Thirteenth" Cotterill on vocals/guitar, Teemu "August" Pekkarinen on guitar, Hannu "Bobo" Saarimaa on bass guitar, and Niko "Hoker Dine" Hyttinen on drums.  They have released two full-length albums, two EPs and many singles.  They're not completely my cup of tea but everyone should check them out and make their own decisions.  Maybe you'll be introduced to your new favorite band.  That's the whole point of this blog anyway.

Featured Band of the Week!!

I am so sorry I completely missed last week!  We've had internet issues at home so I couldn't get on to post!  Please forgive me!  I'll be back with Music News and a new interview from Bryan Stars in the next day or so!  This weeks Featured Band of the Week is Blessthefall!  I saw them in my recommendations on Youtube so I gave them a try and I really liked them!

This is, oddly enough, another band that has involved Escape the Fate lead singer Craig Mabbitt.  The band started as a high school band in 2003.  Craig left in 2007 and was replaced by current lead singer Beau Boken.  Their members are Beau on lead vocals and keybord, Jared Warth on unclean vocals and bass guitar, Elliott Gruenberg on Rhythm guitar, Eric Lambert on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Matt Traynor on drums.  Matt and Jared are the only original members from that high school band.

They are a really good band.  Check them out and tell me what you think!
